Looking for an opportunity to volunteer? Look no more and join us for SoupMobile. The SoupMobile is a non-profit charity that serves over 600 meals every weekday to the homeless.
For this event, we'll need bread, mustard, bologna, cheese, cookies, corn chips, plastic gloves, and sandwich baggies. When you volunteer please bring what you can. A cash donation is a very nice option if you cannot bring anything. The goal each week is to make up as many baggies of sandwiches, cookies & corn chips as we can so please remember to bring something with you---a loaf of bread, meat, cheese, cookies, corn chips---something!!! While we deeply appreciate your time, please remember that ‘Good Works Don’t Come Free'.
Here is how our day will go. We'll meet at the Holy Trinity Parking lot at 10:15 AM to carpool or you can meet us there at 10:30 AM. We get the tables set up and at 11:00AM Barbara (the owner of eXcuses Cafe) will give her spill to all of the volunteers on the proper food handling safety rules.
We typically are done filling the sandwich baggies with sandwiches, cookies & corn chips between 12:30-1:00. Some of us stay and have lunch at the Café since Barbara is so accommodating in letting us use her place and the food is great.
